Or Can My Nostalgia Please Be Your Childhood? Part 3
Like Star Wars, The Beatles have become part of our everyday conversations. People quote them now almost like Shakespeare – I mean without even noticing they’re quoting something. And of course their music is everywhere.
I was only born a few months before they officially split, but I still grew up knowing and loving the music. So when my son heard “Love Me Do” on the radio and asked me if it was Beethoven, I decided it was time to start expanding his musical horizons. As a big fan, it took me a while to come up with what I felt was the perfect kid-friendly play list that didn’t include anything too stupid (Maxwell’s Silver Hammer, I’m looking at you). The idea was to give him an overview, something sung by each Beatle and everything can be sung along to.
Here’s what I came up with. Let me know if I missed one of your kid-friendly favorites!
